YBSL supports to The Founder Institute world’s premier startup program Sri Lankan chapter
Youth Business Sri Lanka expands his reach to assist tech entrepreneurs by supporting Founder Institute chapter in Sri Lanka. The launch was held on 11th August 2016 at DIALOG auditorium. The launch attracted over 200 startup entrepreneurs with the theme of Making the leap from Employee to Entrepreneur. The key note speakers and mentors were Chandika Jayasundara, Co-founder & CEO of CINERGIX and Mangala Karunaratne, Founder & CEO of CALCEY.
Starting a company is an arduous and lonely journey, and technology entrepreneurship is a constantly evolving discipline. The Founder Institute’s vision is to “Globalize Silicon Valley” and help entrepreneurs across the globe launch meaningful and enduring technology companies.
Through a structured, 4-month curriculum of weekly training courses and business-building assignments, startups/entrepreneurs graduate the Founder Institute as the Founder of an enduring company. Plus, sessions are held at night, so startups/entrepreneurs can keep their day job.
The Founder Institute provides a rigorous, comprehensive company-building curriculum to guide startups/entrepreneurs through validating ideas, performing customer development, building a team, preparing for funding, and more. Through weekly training and feedback sessions led by top startup mentors, office hours with local directors, group meetings with fellow founders, and challenging company building assignments, participants in the program make several years of progress in just 3.5 months.
There will be series of session before absorbed into the Founder Institute system will be held with mentors and key tech personalities.
