We help young people transition from job takers to job makers
Youth Business Sri Lanka (YBSL) was established in 2007 with a mandate to provide holistic support and guidance to youth who want to start up their own business. By encouraging entrepreneurship, business founders can improve their own and their family’s livelihood, as well as support broader job creation, economic activity and social inclusion.
YBSL supports entrepreneurs through the provision of a number of services, namely business mentoring, training, networking, and funding.
YBSL is a member of Youth Business International (YBI), a global umbrella organization for youth entrepreneurship, founded by the Prince of Wales. YBI has a network over 40 member countries and YBSL received its international accreditation in 2009.
YBSL is also closely linked with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), who donate in-kind YBSL’s head office space and a number of other shared services. The chairman of the CCC board is also the chairman of the YBSL Board of Trustees.
